Writing with the raw emotion of a young woman once on the edge, Laura Connallon is a young musician with a seriously powerful voice and enough determination to tell the whole the country about it . ~ Kara Barnard, Instrumentalist/Singer/Songwriter"Laura Connallon was rockin' Laura just gets better every time I see her."~BJ Davis, Owner, BJava Coffeehouse. ~ This Indiana born and raised singer/songwriter has been performing since she was very young. She started singing in church choirs at the age of 5 and had made her Carnegie Hall debut when she was 12. With a mother who played piano, organ, guitar, flute, and sang and a father who could only play the radio, we know where her natural talent came from. A classically trained vocalist, she has won many vocal competitions all over Indiana. She decided to stray a bit from her classical training and get back to her folk roots. She has studied guitar with singer/songwriter/instrumentalist wizard, Kara Barnard and has played on stages with the likes of regionally known Katie Reider. Aside from her family influences, she also credits the great range of music she heard played in the house while she was growing up.
